Delhi: South Africa have won all their four matches so far in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The Aiden Markram-led team has been very weak despite being invincible. South Africa's bowling failed in their first Super-8 match against the United States (USA) and they had to struggle hard in the last two overs to win by 18 runs. In such a situation, star wicketkeeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen admitted that the team has not been strong as a unit.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of their second Super-8 stage match against England, Klaasen credited the bowlers and hoped that the batsmen would perform naturally on West Indies pitches.

He said, “We had four bad matches, which we overcame successfully. It was not good. Our bowlers bowled incredibly well in those four or five matches.”

He further said, “Hopefully on better wickets we will be able to find our form and get back to our natural form, so this is a positive aspect, which we still have to explore, but the way we are playing, the way we are adapting to the conditions, is fantastic and it also shows the maturity in the group.”
