India captain Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to bat first against Afghanistan in their first match of Super 8 in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
“We are batting first as the pitch looks good and I feel it will get slower in the second innings. The pitch is expected to play better than New York. We love coming to the West Indies but it is important to do basics right. Kuldeep Yadav is playing in place of Mohammed Siraj,” Rohit Sharma said.Rashid Khan would have batted first as well.
