Team India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs in a one-sided fashion in their first Super 8 match played in Barbados. Suryakumar Yadav and Jaspreet Bumrah wrote the script of Afghanistan's defeat. In the middle overs, Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets and ensured Team India's victory. In the end, Bumrah and then Arshdeep Singh took a flurry of wickets. Bumrah took 3 wickets for just 7 runs in the match. Arshdeep gave 36 runs in 4 overs but he also managed to take 3 wickets.
