Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Fazalhaq Farooqi in the third over of the match played on June 20 at Kensington Oval, Barbados. India is scheduled to play their first Super 8s match of the T20 World Cup 2024 tournament at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

In a highly intense match, Rohit Sharma was sent out for 8 runs after facing 13 deliveries. Despite having smashed a half-century during the match against Ireland, his figures were not well throughout the campaign.

Coming to the match, India won the toss and opted to bat considering the conditions. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli opened the match while Fazalhaq Farooqi opened the bowling attack.

In the fifth ball of the third over, the ball goes slightly full and the ball sticks into the surface Rohit Sharma swings across the line and Rashid Khan catches the ball at mid-on. Rishabh Pant forged hands with Virat Kohli to revive India from early dismissal.

But he was sent out on a lbw for 20 runs by Rashid Khan in the last ball of the seventh over. With Suryakumar coming to bat, Rashid Khan picked the wicket of Virat Kohli for 24 in the 9th over putting pressure against Men in Blues.

Kohli was sent out on a full and quick delivery where he struck the ball with force but didn’t get full elevation which went to the hands of Mohammad Nabi.

By the end of the 10th over, India scored 79 runs losing three wickets. During the 11th over, Rashid Khan picked the wicket of Shivam Dube for 10 runs on a lbw.
