Former Indian cricket team veteran and fast bowler David Johnson committed suicide. Actually this incident happened on 20th June. Johnson, who had played Ranji for Karnataka, was 52 years old. He jumped from the fourth floor of a private apartment.
A big reason is being told behind this.Actually, he was suffering from depression and mental illness. After making his debut for India in 1996, David Johnson represented his country in two Tests. Apart from this, he continued to play domestic cricket for Karnataka. After retirement, he contributed to coaching.
David Johnson's death has shaken the cricket world, especially Indian cricket. On his death, many legends associated with Indian cricket posted on social media and expressed their condolences and grief. This includes BCCI Secretary Jay Shah as well as former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble.
Jay Shah wrote on his ex i.e. Twitter, “Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Indian fast bowler David Johnson. His contribution to the game will always be remembered”
While Anil Kumble wrote,
