As soon as the T20 World Cup ends, the tenure of the Indian team's head coach Rahul Dravid will end. With this, he will leave the team, but before that he wants to make India the world champion. That's why Dravid is also working hard along with the team players. Dravid is working on everything from the skills of the players to the planning of the team. He is busy preparing a strategy against Afghanistan with captain Rohit Sharma for the team's first Super-8 match to be held in Barbados. Meanwhile, a question related to the Indian team has angered him.
Under the coaching of Rahul Dravid, the Indian team performed brilliantly in the 2023 ODI World Cup. India had defeated all the teams in that tournament and reached the final without losing a single match. However, the day of the final was not good for the team and India had to face defeat against Australia. This defeat broke the hearts of all Indian fans, the memories of which are still fresh. While talking to the media before the match against Afghanistan, a reporter tried to remind Team India of a similar defeat, which made Dravid angry.
In 1997, the Indian team lost a test match against the Netherlands on the Barbados ground. When Dravid was asked about this, he replied that he has some good memories associated with this place. On this, he was asked if he would like to make some new memories. On this, Dravid replied that he has not come here to make anything. Rahul Dravid further said that he does not carry the burden of old things. Whatever is past, he moves on and gets involved in new things and focuses only on the things happening in the present. He said that what happened in 1997 is not a matter of concern at the moment. According to Dravid, the things that happened in 1997 are not going to change the result against Afghanistan. Therefore, Team India is only focusing on winning all the matches in the Super-8.
The record of the Indian team on the Barbados ground in the T20 World Cup has not been good. Team India has played two matches here and has lost both. India played both the matches here in the 2010 edition, in which it had to face defeat at the hands of Australia and West Indies. Now after 14 years, the Indian team will face Afghanistan on this ground.
