The effect of heat is increasing in various parts of the country including the capital Delhi. People are facing a lot of trouble due to this. Due to extreme heat, 5 people died in Delhi's Ram Manohar Loggia Hospital. 12 people affected by extreme heat have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. Medical Superintendent of Loggia Hospital Dr. Ajay Shukla said that they are being treated with ventilator support.

In this regard, he has given an interview to a news agency that a total of 22 patients have been admitted to the hospital. Five people have died due to suspected heatstroke. 12 serious patients are being treated with the help of ventilators. Many of these patients are workers who work in extreme conditions in the sun. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the effect of heat will continue in North India. The Indian Meteorological Department said today (Wednesday) that heat wave conditions will continue to be severe in many parts of North India and will gradually subside after that.

The IMD has predicted that the monsoon will start in Delhi on June 30. IMD scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar said, “The temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius. Monsoon is expected in Delhi in June. Dust storms and light to heavy rains are expected in Delhi. According to data from the State Electricity Distribution Monitoring Center, as of 3:22 pm on Tuesday, Delhi's maximum power demand was 8,647 MW. This is unprecedented in the history of the national capital. The hot weather has aggravated the water crisis in Delhi. Residents are having to rely on water tankers to meet their daily needs.

In this context, Union Health Minister JP Natta has directed officials to ensure that all hospitals are prepared to provide the best possible medical care to heatstroke victims. After examining the heat wave situation and preparedness in central government hospitals, Natta has ordered to start special heat wave treatment units in all central government hospitals.
