In the very first match of Super-8 in T20 World Cup 2024, Quinton de Kock's bat performed so well that the American bowlers were left watching. De Kock played a brilliant innings of 74 runs in 40 balls against America. 5 sixes and 7 fours came off his bat. De Kock's strike rate was 185. On the basis of his innings, South Africa scored a big score on the pitch of Antigua. But left arm spinner Harmeet Singh did the job of silencing De Kock.
Harmeet Singh trapped De Kock on his ball. While trying to hit a six on his ball, he got caught by Shayan Jahangir. After dismissing De Kock, Harmeet Singh also dismissed David Miller on the very next ball. Harmeet took 2 wickets for just 24 runs in 4 overs.
