Team India is currently participating in a big tournament like the T20 World Cup and in this tournament, Team India has qualified for the Super-8. The T20 World Cup Super-8 matches will be played from 19 June 2024 and the Indian team will be seen playing its first match in this phase against Afghanistan on 20 June at the Barbados ground.

Before the T20 World Cup Super-8, such news has come out which has left all the Indian supporters very disappointed. If that news is to be believed, then the Indian team does not seem to be qualifying for the final in this T20 World Cup.

Team India out of T20 World Cup final

ICC has placed the Indian team in Group A in the T20 World Cup Super 8 and it is believed that Team India will perform the best in this group.

If Team India performs well in this group, then this team can become the table topper. Apart from Team India, Afghanistan, Australia and Bangladesh are in this group. For this reason, the Indian team is considered to be the top team of Group A of T20 World Cup Super-8 and according to the new rules, this team may be deprived of playing the final.

Know what are the rules

If the Indian team tops the group stage of T20 World Cup Super-8, then Team India will be ranked A2.

In such a situation, Team India may have to play its semi-final match against B1 on 27 June. Since this is the second semi-final match of the T20 World Cup and hence no reserve day has been announced for this match. Now if it rains in this match, then Team India will not be able to qualify for the final.

Extra time has been given for Semi-final 2

The ICC had already announced a reserve day for the first semi-final match of the T20 World Cup. But no reserve day has been announced for the second match. However, the ICC has given 250 minutes for this match and if the match is not played due to rain even during this time, then the match will be declared cancelled.
