Gautam Gambhir has also put forward one of his major demands that a specialized team will be formed for all formats. According to the Times of India report, young players like Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag and Yash Dayal, who performed well in the IPL, can be given a chance on the Zimbabwe tour in July.

In such a situation, senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah will be kept out of the T20 team. At the same time, senior players like Rohit, Virat and Bumrah will focus on the Champions Trophy and Test Championship in February-March of 2025.

BCCI has announced the Zimbabwe tour. After the T20 World Cup ends on 29 June, the Indian team will play a 5-match T20 series on the Zimbabwe tour from 6 July. The first match will be played on 6 July, the second on 7 July, the third on 10 July, the fourth on 13 July and the fifth on 14 July.
