Raman has coached domestic cricket and IPL along with playing at the international level. Apart from this, he has also coached the Indian team women's cricket team. On the other hand, Gambhir only has experience of the role of mentor in IPL and he has not done coaching work after retirement.

The report also states that apart from these two, a foreign name is also in the race to become the head coach of Team India, whose interview will be held on Wednesday. However, the name has not been revealed but it may be revealed soon.

A BCCI source said that Gambhir had an online interview but Raman's presentation was very impressive and detailed. The CAC is likely to interview a foreign candidate tomorrow. Gambhir has the upper hand but Raman's presentation was very impressive.
