T20 World Cup 2024: What is the biggest problem facing Team India before the Super-8 match?

Now the Super-8 matches will start in the T20 World Cup 2024. The Super-8 will start from June 19. But, the Indian team will start its campaign in it from June 20. India has to face Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Australia in the Super-8. Meaning the challenge is going to be bigger than the group stage.

Team India has won all its matches in the group stage but before the start of the Super-8, the problem in front of it is also big. It is important to look at these problems because the challenges ahead are big.

Now the question is what is the problem faced by Team India which reached Super-8 after winning 4 out of 4 matches in the group stage? So the strings of its problems are not external but internal. These problems of Team India are related to those players who were in the playing eleven but did not get a chance to show their full talent in the group stage.

What is the problem of Team India before Super-8?

There were many players in Team India's playing eleven in the group stage who did not get enough chances to either bat or bowl.

Some players were seen struggling with their form. And, they have entered the Super-8 with the same form. Now if such players do not contribute to the team on the occasion in the Super-8, then the problems may increase.

What is Jadeja's contribution?

Ravindra Jadeja is at the top of the list of such players of the Indian team, who could neither score a single run with the bat in the group stage nor could take any wicket for the team with the ball.

Whereas Jadeja has played 3 matches in the group stage, in which he batted in 1 innings and bowled in 2 innings. But when he came to bat, he got out without opening his account and after bowling 3 overs in 3 matches with the ball, he gave 17 runs but did not get a wicket.

Virat has not scored any runs in the group stage

Apart from Jadeja, everyone saw Virat Kohli's form in the group stage. This is the reason why he scored only 5 runs in 3 innings of 3 matches in the group stage. That means he has not scored even 10 runs in the first 3 matches of T20 World Cup 2024.

And in those 3 matches, he has not even faced 10 balls so far.

The same story of Hardik-Akshar

Hardik Pandya has shown his amazing game with the ball in the group stage. But, not getting many chances to bat is a matter of concern for Team India before the start of Super-8. Hardik played 3 matches in the group stage but he batted only in 1 innings, in which he got out after scoring 7 runs. Akshar Patel was in the same situation as Hardik. He also took 3 wickets in 3 matches with the ball. But, he batted only in 1 innings.

It is a good thing that runs were seen coming from the bats of Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav in the group stage.

India's pace attack with the ball was seen to be a failure. But, if Team India wants to win the T20 World Cup, then it will have to avoid even a single mistake.
