This catch was taken by Durham fast bowler all-rounder Paul Coughlin against Lancashire in the North Group match of the T20 Blast 2024 season.

This catch was seen in the seventh over of the innings when Lancashire's number four batsman Matthew Hurst hit a fiery shot but Cofflin, despite being off-balance, saved himself and took a wonderful catch.

Lancashire were given a target of 219 runs to win the match but despite a good performance from the batsmen, Lancashire came close to falling short and Durham won by two runs in a high-scoring thriller. Earlier, Durham scored 218 runs in their 20 overs, which included brilliant half-centuries from opener Graham Clark and number three David Bedingham. While Clark scored 87 runs off just 57 balls, South African Bedingham scored 78 runs off 42 balls with the help of seven fours and four sixes. With this result, Durham reached fifth place in the North Group points table, having won three and lost three out of six matches.
