New Zealand and Papua New Guinea (PNG) will cross-swords in their final group stage match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad will host the game.
New Zealand, no longer in contention for the Super 8, aims to end the group stage positively with a consolation victory. Meanwhile, PNG will seek to cause an upset against the Kiwis.
The Brian Lara Stadium pitch favors slower bowlers, with batters having a better chance to time their shots early in the game. However, as the match progresses, the pitch tends to become more difficult. In the later stages, spinners are expected to find more assistance, particularly in the second innings.
Captain winning the toss might opt to bat first to set a formidable target.
