Mandhana was the hero in this match for Team India, who faced 127 balls and scored 117 runs with the help of 12 fours and a six. The result of her innings was that the Men in Blue scored 265 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs, which the visiting team could not achieve and they had to face defeat.

For India, apart from Mandhana, no other batsman could score big in this match but Deepti Sharma scored 37 while Pooja Vastrakar scored an unbeaten 31 runs. In the last overs, the team reached a score of 265 on the basis of small partnerships between these two. Ayabonga Khaka bowled brilliantly for the African team in this match and sent three Indian batsmen to the pavilion by conceding 47 runs in 10 overs.

South Africa could not play the full 50 overs chasing the target of 266 runs and the team was all out for 122 runs in 37.4 overs. South Africa's batting proved to be a flop in this match and their star all-rounder Sune Luus was the highest scorer, who scored 33 runs in 58 balls. For India, young spinner Asha Shobhana bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for 21 runs in 8.4 overs. During this, she also bowled two maiden overs.
