Imad Wasim: Pakistan's challenge in the T20 World Cup 2024 is over. The match between Ireland and USA was cancelled due to rain and Pakistan was out of the match. Imad Wasim held himself responsible for the defeat against India

• Chasing the target of 120 runs in the India vs Pakistan match, the Pakistan team could score only 114 runs.
• Chasing this target, Imad Wasim scored 17 runs in 23 balls.
• In such a situation, after his poor performance, he blamed himself after the defeat against India.

“We wanted to take the game deep”- Imad Wasim

Imad Wasim said,

“The match against India was also in our hands and we shouldn't have lost. The game plan was that we had to take it deep. The wicket was not good to play on. It was a bit difficult. But couldn't execute, because usually when I bat I take the ball deep.

Usually under pressure the bowler gives you a ball on which you can hit a boundary, but he did not do that. I was taking the game deep because I was expecting a new batsman to come in and not hit a shot, but Naseem hit two good shots.”

“We are also human beings-” Imad

• Apart from this, while talking to the media, Imad Wasim commented on many issues. He told what Pakistan needs to do to improve its game.
• However, before leaving Imad gave a statement which made him a topic of discussion. He said, “One thing I want to say is that we are also human beings. We can also make mistakes and we are sorry for that.”
