Team India : Team India is currently participating in the T20 World Cup 2024 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and coaching of Rahul Dravid. In the T20 World Cup 2024, Team India has made its place in the Super 8 from the group stage. After making its place in the Super 8, Team India is now traveling from America to West Indies.
Meanwhile, according to information received from BCCI sources, the selection committee can select 16 players in the Indian team squad for the Zimbabwe T20 series. Out of those 16 players, 4 players play for Mumbai Indians in IPL cricket. However, no player from Virat Kohli's franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore will be given a chance in the IPL.
After the T20 World Cup 2024, Team India has to play 5 T20 matches on the Zimbabwe tour from July 6 to July 15. In these matches, BCCI can give a chance to the players who have performed well in IPL and domestic cricket for a long time instead of the star players of the team. In which the names of players like Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, Abhishek Porel, Shashank Singh can definitely be considered.
The selection committee is planning to include 4 players who play IPL cricket from Mumbai Indians in the 16-member team squad of Team India for the T20 series to be held on the Zimbabwe tour.
After which it is believed that Ishan Kishan, Naman Dheer, Nehal Wadhera and Akash Madhwal can be considered for the T20 series of the Zimbabwe tour. At the same time, hardly any player from the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the franchise that made it to the playoffs in the IPL 2024 season, can be given a chance to play on the Zimbabwe tour.
