Lucknow: The 33rd match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was to be played between India and Canada in Florida but this match was washed out due to rain. Let us tell you that the win or loss of any team was not going to make any difference in this match because Team India had already qualified for the Super-8. On the other hand, the Canadian team was already out. India has topped the points table from Group A, while USA is in second place with 5 points. The top-2 teams from this group had to qualify for the next round and now India and USA have qualified.

India has not lost any match in the group stage. Team India started its campaign in this World Cup with a match played against Ireland in New York. In that match, the Men in Blue won by 8 wickets, while in their second match they defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 6 runs in a thrilling match. After this, the team captained by Rohit Sharma defeated America by 7 wickets and secured their place in the Super-8.

India was to play its fourth match against Canada, which has been cancelled due to rain. Actually, it has been raining continuously in Florida for the last several days and due to this the matches are getting cancelled. Although, it did not rain during the match but due to the ground being wet, keeping in mind the safety of the players, the umpire has decided to cancel this match. One point each of this match has been distributed to both the teams. Currently, the Canadian team is at the third position in the points table of this group.

Rohit and company will now play all their matches in this World Cup in West Indies. Team India will face Afghanistan on 20 June in their first match of Super-8. While the Men in Blue will face Australia on 24 June. India has one more match to play, for which the team is not decided yet but it is believed that India can play their third match against Bangladesh, which is to be held on 22 June.
