"This will be a completely different challenge. You have to give a lot of time to this. He definitely has a lot of potential. We have seen that Gautam has handled many teams. Apart from India, he has also been the captain of many teams like Delhi Capitals, KKR."
He further said in his statement,
“Even though he has a lot of experience, coaching Team India is a different thing. You have to give him time. Even if he becomes the head coach, his job will not only be to look after the present of the team but also to prepare the players for the future.”
In IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders appointed Gautam Gambhir as their mentor. Gauti fully supported the decision of team owner Shahrukh Khan. He led this team to its third title under his guidance.
