Delhi: Opener Shubman Gill was placed in the category of reserve players for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He went to the United States of America (USA) with the Indian team, but was not part of the 15-member main squad. After playing matches in New York, the Indian management sent Shubman back to India. Now it has been revealed that Gill has been sent back due to indiscipline. According to reports, Gill was busy planning his side business instead of staying with the team in the US and was not showing interest in team activities.

When the Indian team was announced for the T20 World Cup 2024, Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed were included in the reserve players. But, after the matches in New York ended, Shubman was sent back to India, while fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed and dashing finisher Rinku Singh have been retained there.

Now a shocking revelation has been made about Gill that he was sent back due to indiscipline. According to Cricket One's report, Gill did not travel with the team in the US and spent most of his time planning his side business. During the India-Pakistan match, Khalil Ahmed, Avesh Khan and Rinku Singh were present in the stadium to support the team, but Gill was not seen there.
