Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Haris Rauf made history in T20Is as he became the fastest to 100 wickets in the format. The right-arm pacer attained the milestone in Pakistan’s crucial Group A contest against Canada in Match 22 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in New York.

Notably, Rauf also became the third-fastest bowler overall to the landmark of 100 scalps after spinners Rashid Khan (53) and Wanindu Hasaranga (63). Rauf also became the second Pakistan bowler after Shadab Khan to take 100 T20I scalps. He is also the first pacer to do so.

Rauf, who bowled an expensive first over, conceded 13 from his final three overs to finish with 2/26 in four overs. He played a key role in helping the Pakistan side to restrict Canada to 106/7 in 20 overs on a bowling-friendly surface in Long Island.
