Lucknow: The 27th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was played between Bangladesh and Netherlands at St. Vincent, Kingstown. In this match, Dutch team captain Scott Edwards won the toss and decided to bowl first and invited Bangladesh to bat first. Tanjid Hasan and captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto came out to open the innings for the Bangladeshi team. Shanto did not look in good rhythm and was dismissed after scoring one run. However, Hasan appeared in good form and also gave a good start to his team.

In this match against the Dutch team, an incident happened with Hasan which surprised everyone. Actually, he escaped a major incident and did not get hurt. However, he could have got hurt and this matter could have been very serious but he escaped any major incident. Vivian Kingma came to bowl the third over of this match from the Netherlands and Tanjid was on strike and he escaped a major injury.

Actually, during the match, when Kingma threw the ball, the ball went straight into Hasan's helmet and was later removed. Due to this incident, the game had to be postponed for a while and the medical team was called on the field. The medical team examined him thoroughly and declared him completely fit. The best thing was that due to the helmet, the ball could not touch his body and he remained completely healthy. If the ball had hit him from anywhere, it would have been a serious matter and he narrowly escaped becoming a victim of a major incident.
