Bangladesh defeated the Netherlands by 25 runs to register their second win in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The Tigers are the favourites to make it to Super 8 stage in the global tournament. Chasing 160 runs, the Dutch managed 134/8 runs in 20 overs.

Sybrand Engelbrecht (33), Vikramjit Singh (26) and Scott Edwards (25) batted well but couldn’t carry on for a long time. For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets.

Earlier, the sub-continent team posted 159/5, with Shakib Al Hasan amassing 64 not out.

Paul van Meekeren and Aryan Dutt dismissed two batters each.

Bangladesh have four points from three matches. On the other hand, the Scott Edwards-led unit has registered two points from three games.
