After the win against USA, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said that making it to the Super 8 stage was a ‘huge relief.’

“We knew it would be a tough match, but I’m proud of how we held our nerve and secured that crucial partnership. Surya and Dube showed great maturity in taking us through. Many of these Indian American cricketers have played together for a while, and it’s wonderful to see their progress. I saw them last year in the MLC as well – they are all hard-working individuals,” he remarked.

“We understood that our bowlers would need to lead the way, as run-scoring was proving difficult. All our bowlers did an excellent job, with Arshdeep standing out in particular. The pitch conditions favored the seamers, so we wanted to make the most of Dube’s bowling abilities as an additional option,” he added.
