PSL 2024 Match Result: The PSL 2024 match 22 between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings ended with a thumping win and new lease of life for Karachi Kings over Quetta Gladiators by seven wickets at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Wednesday (March 06).

After the brilliant performance with the bowl from Karachi Kings and restricting Quetta to 118, the chase was never in doubt. Hasan Ali (Player of the Match) set the tone for the Kings by picking 4/15, providing breakthroughs upfront and in the end. Karachi secured a seven-wicket win with 27 balls to spare. The pair of Vince (27 off 28 balls) and Seifert (49 off 31 balls) added a fifty-plus stand and kept the chase on track as Masood went early. After the departure of Vince, Malik came out and saw the game through. Quetta Gladiators fought hard but they didn't have enough runs on the board to challenge the Karachi batters. Karachi Kings won the toss and asked Quetta Gladiators to set the target. Quetta got off to a quick start and scored 53-1 in the powerplay despite losing Jason Roy early to Blessing Muzarabani. However, things went downhill after Hasan Ali got out both Shakeel and Nafay in the same over. For the upcoming batters, rotating strikes became difficult and the boundaries dried up as well. None of the batters could apply themselves and bat deep as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and ended up with a below-par total of 118-10 (19.1 overs). Though the pitch was two-paced and there was help for the spinners, but Quetta's bowlers Hasan Ali, Muzarabani (2/27) and Mahmood (2/25), exploited it perfectly. Karachi Kings walked out to bat with the achievable target in front of them and they did so at the loss of three wickets within 15.3 overs. After losing Masood, Seifert and Vince's partnership didn't allow Quetta bowlers to make any impact. Then, Malik's experience paid off as he took his team to victory, though Seifert missed out on a fifty.
