Indian cricket team's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been away from the game for a long time and is currently completing his rehab at the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. Before making a comeback in the national team, he will take the field for India-A. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday has officially announced the multi-day and ODI teams of India-A for the home series to be played against Australia-A. The tour will begin with two multi-day matches to be played in Puducherry, followed by an exciting three-match ODI series.
According to the official statement of BCCI, Hardik Pandya has been selected in the India A team not for multi-day matches, but for the 3-match ODI series. The first ODI of the series will be played on 6 October, the second on 9 October and the third match on 11 October. However, the board has also made it clear that Hardik's playing in this series will depend only on his fitness report and clearance.
Talking about the command of the team, the captaincy of the multi-day (four-day) matches will be handled by young batsman Devdutt Padikkal, while Sai Sudarshan has been made the vice-captain.
At the same time, the command of the ODI series has been handed over to Rituraj Gaikwad, in which Padikkal will play the role of vice-captain. Many young and talented players like Priyansh Arya, Rajat Patidar, Kumar Kushagra, Arshin Kulkarni and Yash Thakur have also been given a chance in the squad. Through this series, Hardik Pandya will have a great opportunity to prove his match fitness. The post “Hardik Pandya makes a comeback” Big announcement of India-A team against Australia-A appeared first on Buzz | ….
