2026 NAM vs ZIM Playing 11: Gerhard Erasmus-led Namibia will square off against Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe in the 3rd match of the Namibia T20I Tri-series 2026, played at the Namibia Cricket Ground, Windhoek.
Namibia secured a win against South Africa in the 1st match, while Zimbabwe secured a defeat against South Africa.
Namibia and Zimbabwe have met in 16 games in the T20I format, where Namibia have 9 wins while Zimbabwe have 7 wins.
Namibia won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Gerhard Erasmus said, “We would like to have a bowl first. (Winning this and making it to the Final) Well, yes, we will give our best today.
Winning this game and getting to the final in front of our own fans does excite us.”Speaking of the changes, Erasmus said, “We are going with the same team.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza said, “We don’t really mind losing the toss and batting first. This surface looks a lot drier. It does look like a better wicket, and with a bit of dryness on it, that could work in our favour.”
“I always say it’s very difficult to judge that before you’ve actually gone out and batted.
It may look one way from the outside but play completely differently. When the wicket is this dry, especially with the heat around, it can dry up quickly and get slower as the game progresses.”“If you aim too high, you could end up falling short. I think the first seven or eight overs will give us a good indication of what a par score could be. Every game we play is a must-win. That’s the mindset we have to carry.”
