West Indies cricket legend Dwayne Bravo was given a special honour late Saturday night during the CPL 2026 season. Knight Riders’ CEO Venky Mysore was seen holding up jersey number 47 that Bravo wore during the course of his career for his national team and various franchises he was part of.

He was flanked by his family and close ones when the jersey was retired. It is worth noting that Bravo is a resident of Trinidad and Tobago and has played first-class cricket and T20 Cricket for his hometown. In 89 CPL matches for the TKR franchise, he scored 974 runs with two fifties and also took 115 wickets with a best of 5/23.

In IPL, the cricketer began his stint with Mumbai Indians, where he played for three years. This was followed by a long and successful tenure with Chennai Super Kingswhere he won titles, and then represented the Gujarat Lions in 2016.

The 43-year-old retired from all forms of cricket in 2024 after playing his final game for TKR against Saint Lucia Kings in front of his home crowd. Dwayne didn’t bowl in the contest and retired hurt after facing just two balls. He is currently with the Knight Riders franchise serving as a coach for their multiple teams.

Jamaica Kingsmen win rain-affected game vs Trinbago

In the CPL 2026 match number 20, it was the Jamaica Kingsmen who won after the Duckworth-Lewis method came into play. Batting first, the home team posted 179 runs for the loss of eight wickets from their 20 overs.

Nicholas Pooran top-scored with 60 off 37 balls with five boundaries and three sixes. Veteran star Sunil Narine batted well to amass 53 while opener Colin Munro posted 52 runs.

The veteran duo added 101 runs for the first wicket inside nine overs. Left-arm wrist spinner Vitel Lawes picked up 3/29 from four overs with one maiden while Hunain Shah took two wickets. None of the other batters managed to put up a good score.

Chasing 180 to win, the visiting side lost the wicket of Maaz Sadaqat on the final ball of the second over for 12 runs. Kirk McKenzie and Keacy Carty then put on 50 runs for the second wicket. Mckneize was out after scoring 30, while Carty managed 42. Saim Ayub was batting on 24, alongside Rovman Powell on five, when rain came down and ended the game. The Kingsmen were ahead on the DLS method and won the game.
