Delhi:The two-match Test series played between Sri Lanka and India ended with India's victory by 1-0. India won the first test, while the second match played in Colombo was a draw. Many players impressed with their performance during the series, but Sri Lanka's Sonal Dinusha and India's Manav Suthar were at the forefront in bowling.

The interesting thing was that for most of the series, Devdutt Padikkal was ahead among the batsmen scoring the most runs. But Sonal Dinusha's unbeaten century in the second innings of the second test changed the entire equation. Dinusha ended the series as the batsman scoring the most runs.

Sonal Dinusha leaves Padikkal behind

Sonal Dinusha scored 420 runs in four innings of two tests.

He scored three centuries in the series and his highest score was 133 not out. With an excellent average of 140, Dinusha continuously created problems for the Indian bowlers.

Devdutt Padikkal stood second with 328 runs. He batted in only three innings and scored two centuries. His highest score was 167 runs. With an average of 109.33, Padikkal was among the most effective batsmen of the series for India.

Dhruv Jurel also left his mark with the bat.

He scored 173 runs in two matches and scored a century. His unbeaten inning of 115 runs in the Colombo Test became an important reason for India's big score.

Pasindu Suriyabandara stood fourth with 172 runs and Rishabh Pant stood fifth with 168 runs. Pant scored two half-centuries in three innings and his strike rate was 76.36.

Manav Suthar created a stir with the ball

Sonal Dinusha may have been at the forefront in batting, but in bowling, India's young spinner Manav Suthar left his mark on the entire series.

Suthar took a total of 16 wickets in four innings of two test matches. During this, he achieved the feat of taking four wickets once and five wickets once. His best performance was 6/55.

Suthar bowled 108.2 overs and gave runs at an economy of only 3.11. His performance was special because he benefited the team by taking wickets continuously in difficult situations.
