MS Dhoni didn’t mince his words while criticizing the Chennai pitch curator for not giving good wickets to the franchise in their home games in the Indian Premier League 2025. In fact, he blamed the curator for the team’s below-par performances in the ongoing edition. CSK started the home season with a scratchy win over Mumbai Indians. They could have lost the match had Mumbai bowled well when needed, but the visiting team was not good at Chepauk.
However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders didn’t give them a chance in Chennai.

“The wickets have been different from the last season in Chennai. They are on the slower side.
We need slight good wickets as batting hasn’t been easy. We have batted well outside our home turf,” he said.“Our batters will have to play their shots according to the wickets. Our bowling unit has performed better than our batting department. We made a few changes in the game against Lucknow. We lost wickets at the wrong time, which put us on the back foot this season.
“If you get good starts and everyone executes their roles, things become easy. Every player has been assigned a role, and you don’t want to play like someone else because that person failed to complete his job,” he added.
