Delhi: The fifth and last T20 International match played between India and West Indies in Bengaluru was washed out due to rain. Rain once again disrupted the match which had already started with a delay of about two and a half hours and the game had to be stopped after 7.4 overs of the Indian innings. After this the match could not be resumed. In this way, the five-match T20 series remained tied at 2-2 and both the teams got a joint share of the series.

Due to continuous rain the toss was delayed by about two and a half hours. Eventually the weather gave some relief, after which the match was reduced to 9-9 overs. In such a short match, the Indian batsmen had no other option but to score runs quickly from the beginning. Team India's batsmen also made their intentions clear as soon as they entered the field, but rain did not allow them to complete their innings.

Abhishek Sharma's bat remained calm

India had an aggressive start. Abhishek Sharma batted in his own style and hit a six on the leg side in the very first ball.

However, he could not convert his start into a big innings. On the very next ball, Keemo Paul changed his length and dismissed Abhishek.

After this, Ishan Kishan did not let the pace of scoring runs slow down. He attacked fiercely in the second over of Romario Shepherd and scored 24 runs in this over. Despite the rain, the outfield of the ground was fast, which was helping the batsmen in taking the ball to the boundary. However, unusual bounce was also seen in some balls on the pitch.

Ishan Kishan created a stir in 10 balls

Ishan Kishan showed the power of his bat in a short innings itself.

He scored 30 runs in just 10 balls. Glimpses of fours and sixes were seen in his batting and the Indian team made a fast start even in small matches like powerplay.

However, Ishaan's innings was ended by Shamar Joseph. He lost his wicket while trying to play a big shot. After his dismissal, Sanju Samson took charge. Taking advantage of the opportunity, he hit a four and a six. After three overs, India's score was 56 runs for 2 wickets.

Shreyas Iyer scored 22 runs

West Indies captain Shai Hope resorted to spin bowling to stop the fast run rate of the Indian batsmen.

Gudakesh Moti tried to stop the batsmen from playing shots openly by changing the line of his balls.

Shreyas Iyer hit two fours as soon as he came, but he did not look comfortable. Due to light showers of rain, the ball was getting grip on the pitch. Iyer also got a lease of life on his personal score of 18 runs, but he could not take much advantage of it. Ultimately he was out after scoring 22 runs.

Naman Dhir hit a six on the very first ball

Amidst the rain, Indian batsmen continued to hit big shots. As soon as Naman Dhir came to the crease, he hit a six on the first ball.

After this, he scored runs rapidly and scored 24 runs in just 6 balls. His innings included three sixes and one four.

On the other hand, Tilak Verma also lost his wicket. Meanwhile, the rain started increasing heavily and the players had to leave the field and return. At that time India's innings could reach only 7.4 overs. Despite a lot of waiting, the weather did not allow the game to start again.

T20 series remained tied at 2-2

Rain in Bengaluru ultimately prevented the result of the decisive match. Indian batsmen had made a fast start in the short match, but did not get a chance to play the entire innings. With the match being cancelled, the five-match T20 series ended 2-2.

There was a chance to win in the last match between the two teams, but neither team had any luck ahead of the season. In such a situation, instead of the series being decided, both the teams had to be satisfied with a draw.
