The first T20I between India and West Indies will be played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. India have played four T20Is here, winning three, while one was abandoned. India and West Indies played the first-ever 20-over game at this ground in 2018, where Rohit Sharma scored a ton.

The previous IND vs SA contest in Lucknow was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

It is not a high-scoring ground like other places in India, with the average first innings score in the range of 135-150. Since this is the start of the season, there will be a good amount of pace on offer for the seamers.

IND vs WI: Pitch Report

This is not a venue where fans can expect scores in excess of 200.

With the conditions around, the captain who wins the toss will want to bowl first. Straight boundaries are rather long, while the boundaries to either side of the square are shorter in size. The best time to bat will be the powerplay overs.
