Team India opener Rohit Sharma has become the third batter from the sub-continent nation to score 12,000 runs in the men’s ODI format, achieving the record against the West Indies in the second ODI  in Guwahati on Wednesday (September 30). The right-hander was 73 runs short before today’s game, and he achieved it in 54 balls. He has joined the likes of Sachin Tendulkar (18,426) and Virat Kohli (15,080) on the list and overall is the seventh cricketer in the world to enter the elite club.
