Delhi: Indian cricket team's fast bowler Deepak Chahar is stuck in a strange problem. Deepak's three very expensive and special 'Player Edition' bats have been stolen from his father Lokendra Chahar's cricket academy in Agra. After this incident, Deepak Chahar has shared a video on social media and requested the thief to return the bat, that too in a very funny and unique way.

Bats missing after workout

According to the information, Deepak Chahar had gone to his father's cricket academy for a practice session. After reaching there, he kept his kit bag aside and went for workout. When he returned for batting practice after about an hour, the bats were missing from his kit.

The cost of the bats was Rs 1.5 lakh

While sharing the video on Instagram, Deepak said that the three bats that were stolen were high-quality 'Player Edition' bats specially made for him. The total price of these three bats is around Rs 1.5 lakh. Deepak said that perhaps the thief would not even realize how special and expensive those bats are.

Chahar made an emotional and funny appeal to the thief

Instead of getting angry over this incident of theft, Deepak Chahar appealed to the thief in a funny tone. He said, “At least do not play tennis ball cricket with these bats nor sell them at throwaway prices.”

Deepak further said that he has the option of filing a complaint with the police or seeking help from a senior officer, but he wants whoever took the bats to return them quietly.

Chahar also quipped that if the bats are not returned, he has the option of getting new bats from his bat sponsor 'SS', but he does not want to lose his favorite bats.
