Picked up the bat for the first time at the request of granddaughter

Ivon Wildosola did not have any special relationship with cricket before.

He picked up the bat for the first time in 2019 at the age of 63. Actually, Chile's women's team 'Las Loicas' had organized a mother-daughter competition in Nublar.

At that time his 16 year old granddaughter Camilla Oyars also used to play cricket. Camila was involved in this sport since the age of 8 and she also brought her grandmother along to this competition. Ivonne had never played professional sports before, but at the insistence of her granddaughter and daughter Loreto, she took to the field.

This was the occasion from where Evon's cricket journey began. Perhaps no one would have thought at that time that this beginning would later turn into a historical record.

International debut at the age of 70 and made a record

After entering cricket, Evon's interest continued to increase. He started practicing regularly and gradually prepared himself for cricket.

Finally, in April 2026, he got a chance to debut in international cricket in a T20 match against Costa Rica. The special thing was that Ivonne came to start the innings with her granddaughter Camilla Oyars.

Camila is also the captain of that team.

By debuting in international cricket at the age of 70, Evonne became the oldest female cricketer in the world. Ivon likes playing straight shots the most.
