The return of Indian cricket team's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya to international cricket has once again been ruined. A new injury to his right calf has ruled him out of competitive cricket for at least three weeks. Due to this, he will not be able to take part in the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand and the India A series against Australia A starting from October 6.

Let us tell you, Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, head of BCCI's medical panel, will assess his recent scan report, after which his rehabilitation schedule will be prepared. At present, doctors have strictly advised Pandya to take complete rest for two weeks. There is no hope of him being fit for the New Zealand T20I and ODI series starting from October 22.

The 32-year-old all-rounder has been battling injuries continuously in the last four months. Since the IPL, he was working on his fitness at the 'Centre of Excellence' in Bengaluru. However, during this period he has faced repeated injuries during Afghanistan, England and now Australia A series. Now to make a comeback, Hardik will have to prove his match-fitness in the series against Zimbabwe or in domestic tournaments like Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
