The Board of Control for Cricket in India is set to have a new title sponsor. Muthoot Fincorp has come on board, and the deal is till 2028. The company, which was founded in 1939, will begin its stint as the title sponsor during the upcoming IND vs WI ODI series.
According to Cricbuzz, the title sponsorship will be referred to as ‘Blue Muthoot’. It was also reported that the board has negotiated INR 4.85 crore per game. IDFC First Bank, the previous title sponsor, was reportedly paying INR 4.2 crore per game.
The latest sponsorship will involve all the Tests, ODIs and T20Is at home till 2028. The deal covers 10 Tests, 12 ODIs, and13 T20Is.
After the West Indies series, the team will travel to New Zealand. After that, India will compete against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in a white-ball series. The sub-continent nation will then host Australia for a five-match Test series starting in January 2027.
Campa, ChatGPT, and SBI Life are the associate sponsors. The lead jersey sponsor is Apollo Tyres. Footwear major Adidas is the kit sponsor for the Men in Blue.
IDFC First Bank signed a three-year deal in 2023, which ended recently. They were not only the title sponsors for the international games but also for the domestic matches.
Mastercard signed a one-year deal with BCCI after Paytm, who was the title sponsor for seven years.
Prior to that, Star India was the title sponsor for international and domestic games from 2013 to 2015. Telecom giant Bharti Airtel was one of the earlier title sponsors, with its agreement starting in 2010 before ending in 2013.
