The 30-year-old Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has dropped to sixth spot in the Women’s T20I batting rankings. The left-handed batter scored 116 runs from the two innings in the Asian Games. Mandhana also became the leading run-getter in Women’s T20 cricket, going past former Kiwi star Suzie Bates.

Smriti added another feather to her cap during her knock of 79 in the final against Sri Lanka, becoming the first woman cricketer to go past 11,000 runs in international cricket. She currently has 746 points.

Shafali Verma has gained two spots and is currently ranked fourth in the latest rankings. The 22-year-old amassed 188 runs during the tournament and was dismissed just once. Verma accumulated a brilliant 100 not out in the semi-final against Bangladesh and posted a brisk 48 in the final on Tuesday, along with two wickets.

Current skipper Harmanpreet Kaur continues to hold onto her number 10 spot with a total of 659 ranking points. Beth Mooney is ranked number one, followed by Georgia Voll and Laura Wolvaardt. West Indies star Hayley Matthew is ranked fifth in the latest rankings.

Shree Charani continues to lead the bowling charts

Young left-arm spin sensation Shree Charani is the number 1 T20 bowler in Women’s cricket.

She has lost five ranking points and is on 799 points compared to the 804 she had last week.

Deepti Sharma is number two on the list with a total of 729 points. The 29-year-old picked up seven wickets in the Asian Games with a best of 3/6 in the final. English trio Sophie Ecclestone, Charlie Dean, and Lauren Bell complete the top five list.

Despite winning the gold medal, the Women in Blue haven’t gained anything in the team rankings.

They are still third with 264 points, while England are number two and the current T20I World Cup holders, Australia, are the top side.

Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma are the top two batters in the men’s ranking, with Sahibzada Farhan at three. Rashid Khan leads the bowling charts while Varun Chakravarthy has moved up two slots to be placed at five.

Jasprit Bumrah, who was ranked 17th last week, has gained seven slots to enter the top ten.

Left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh has gained 11 places and moved to the 14th spot in the current T20I bowlers’ rankings.
