Adam Zampa became the second Australian spinner to record 200 wickets in one-day international cricket on Friday, when he helped Australia to set a target of 356 in the second ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare.

The leg spinner took two wickets for 62 runs in nine overs as Australia made a successful defense of the target to win the match and clinch the series.

Adam Zampa became the seventh Australian bowler to achieve the milestone in men's ODIs. Glenn McGrath has the record for Australia's highest wickets (380) in 249 matches, while Shane Warne tops the spinners' list with 291 wickets in 193 games.

Adam Zampa and Travis Head shine as Australia dominate Zimbabwe

Travis Head notched up a brilliant eighth ODI century and completed 9,000 international runs in his innings as Australia posted a commanding total of 356/6 against Zimbabwe. The Australian opener achieved a staggering career haul of 9,111 runs in 201 matches and 243 innings, including 20 centuries and 43 fifties, with an impressive strike rate of 87.08 and an average of 40.31.

Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to field first as Australia started their innings in the best possible fashion. The hosts' captain and opener, Mitchell Marsh, scored 53 runs in 63 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes before pairing with Head to post a 130-run stand.

Head then joined the strike and played a scintillating knock of 112 off 84 deliveries, laced with 15 fours and three sixes. He added 60 runs for the second wicket with Cooper Connolly, who remained not out on 78 off 69 balls, hitting three fours and three sixes in his sparkling knock.

Australia reached a healthy total of 356/6 with a flurry of boundaries at the end led by Oliver Peake. The left-handed batsman remained unbeaten on 41 off just 18 balls with two fours and three sixes to his name. Brad Evans was the most successful bowler for Zimbabwe, taking 3 wickets for 56 runs.

Zimbabwe's batting lineup folds as Australia takes a 2-0 series lead

Chasing down 357, Zimbabwe's star-studded batting lineup of their top order collapsed within the first 10 overs. The hosts lost half their side for 187 runs and were always on the back foot while chasing down the total.

Sikandar Raza led the charge at the top of the order, scoring 45 runs in 49 balls with the help of five fours. Brendan Taylor remained not out on 39 off 40 deliveries, hitting three fours, while Craig Ervine added 38 off 39 balls with three fours in his knock.

However, Zimbabwe's middle-order crumbled under pressure, eventually being bowled out for a meager total of 272 in 48.3 overs. Australia recorded a convincing win, winning the series 2–0 with one match to spare.

Josh Hazlewood, Cooper Connolly, Matthew Renshaw, and Adam Zampa took two wickets apiece as the hosts registered a convincing win.
