Delhi: The third T20 match played between Afghanistan and India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday, 17 September was entirely in the name of opener Abhishek Sharma. The Indian team ended the three-match series brilliantly by registering a huge victory of 127 runs. This was Afghanistan's biggest defeat in T20I in terms of runs.

Abhishek- Samson's storm, 100 runs scored in powerplay

Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson gave a stormy start to the Indian team after losing the toss and coming to bat first. Both of them together scored 100 runs without scoring in the first 6 overs. Abhishek contributed 72 runs in this. Abhishek Sharma has become the first player to score the highest score in powerplay in T20I.

Abhishek took full advantage of Afghanistan's bowlers and hit big shots in every corner of the field. He played a brilliant inning of 108 runs in just 34 balls. During this period his strike rate was 317.65. His innings included 9 fours and 11 sixes.

Sanju Samson also supported him completely from the other end. Sanju scored 50 runs in 35 balls, which included 2 fours and 4 sixes. Both of them made an excellent partnership of 142 runs in 9.5 overs for the first wicket.

The pace of runs slowed down after Abhishek was out.

After the dismissal of Abhishek Sharma, the pace of the Indian innings slowed down a bit. Captain Shreyas Iyer scored 29 runs in 20 balls, which included 2 sixes. Shivam Dubey contributed 14 runs in 10 balls.

However, Tilak Verma could score only 2 runs, while Ishan Kishan scored 10 runs. Despite this, the Indian team scored a huge score of 221 runs after losing 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai was the most successful bowler for Afghanistan. He took 2 wickets for 27 runs.

Afghanistan team collapsed for 94 runs

Chasing the big target of 222 runs, Afghanistan had a very bad start. Akshar Patel gave India its first success by bowling Rahmanullah Gurbaz at the score of 15 runs in the fourth over.

After this, the Indian bowlers maintained constant pressure on the Afghan batsmen and kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Captain Ibrahim Zadran scored the maximum 25 runs for the team. He faced 16 balls. Azmatullah Omarzai contributed 17 runs. Apart from these two, no Afghan batsman could stand against the Indian bowling.

Nitish and Bishnoi took 3 wickets each

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravi Bishnoi bowled brilliantly for India. Nitish took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs, while Ravi Bishnoi sent 3 batsmen to the pavilion for 26 runs in 3.1 overs. Akshar Patel also bowled economically and took 2 wickets for just 9 runs in 3 overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Yash Thakur got 1 success each.

In front of the Indian bowlers, the entire Afghanistan team collapsed for just 94 runs in 14.1 overs. This is Afghanistan's smallest total against India in T20 International. In this way, India registered a big victory of 127 runs in the third T20 and won the series 3-0.
